FIRST STEP: REMOVE THE OLD SHOWERHEAD
At Hydra, weβve made installation a breeze for everyone. Start by ensuring your shower area is dry to prevent any slips. Next, itβs time to remove that old showerhead. Grip the face of the old showerhead with one hand and the shower pipe with the other. Turn the showerhead counterclockwise (lefty-loosey) to unscrew it. If youβre having trouble, donβt worry! Weβve included a handy Hydra wrench at the bottom of the box. Simply tighten the wrench around the nut connecting the showerhead to the pipe and turn it counterclockwise to remove the old showerhead.
SECOND STEP: INSPECT THE FILTER
Now that the old showerhead has been removed, letβs check on the Hydra lter. Designed to provide three months of clean water, the lter is nestled inside the neck of your Hydra showerhead. While weβve already installed it for you, itβs a good idea to verify that itβs in place. Hold the neck of the showerhead with one hand and twist the face of the showerhead to the left with your other hand to unscrew it. Take a moment to conrm that the lter is there, and then reattach the face by turning it to the right (righty-tighty).
STEP THREE: SEAL IT WITH PLUMBER TAPE
To create a watertight seal and prevent any leaks, wrap the pipe thread from the wall with the plumber tape included in your Hydra package. Make sure to wrap it around the thread twice for a secure t. Next, twist your Hydra showerhead onto the pipe until it's hand-tight. For added security, use the wrench to give it an extra snug turn, ensuring everything is set and leak-free
